My photo
Hi! My name is Erica and I am a photographer from Boston who loves taking pictures of weddings, kids, families, you name it. This blog is a great place to keep up on what I have been up to, from my latest shoots, to my random adventures. I want to thank all the people that support my dreams and help them come true. Thank you to all of the couples who have included me in their special day. I have been so lucky to have the coolest clients on the planet, and couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you so much for visiting!

    Bethany & Matt

Felix Rust had asked me to second shoot with him for the engagement session of Beth and Matt. They are getting married at Castle Rock in May and the ceremony will overlook the ocean. We got a sneak peak of the area and wow, it is really beautiful.

So I got to try out my new extension tube to my 50mm f1.8 lens. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new toy. Also, I tried a couple of new ideas out with my images from this session and I really want feedback from all of you reading! Let me know what you think!!

This one is probably my favorite of the day. Does anyone else think she looks a bit like Addison on Grey's? Okay, maybe I watch that show a little too much

    Teen Voices: AMPLIFY!

What an inspiring group of women. I found myself last Wednesday at the State Room in Boston, listening to the most amazing women that pride themselves on helping teen girls amplify their voices through their magazine, TEEN VOICES. At one point in the night, a group of high school girls went up on stage and rapped about the importance of women independance and how they can do anything they put their minds to. They had such a presence on stage that they received a standing ovation when they were done! I was so happy to photograph such an important night. Here is a little more on this powerful non-profit:

Founded in 1988 by two young adult women who believed in the power of girls to create social change through writing and art, Teen Voices is a local program with an international impact. In Boston, Teen Voices primarily works with low-income girls of color to develop critical thinking, writing and communication, and leadership skills necessary for academic, personal, and professional success. Worldwide, girls from diverse backgrounds submit their writing for possible publication. Our goal is to encourage teen girls around the world to use their skills to speak out on issues, create positive and powerful media, and lead change in their communities.

    Pine Manor College

I ended the night of the open house for Pine Manor college sipping on wine, eating tiramisu out of a martini glass and having great conversation with people I met three hours prior. What a night! My friend Amy (the newly appointed special events manager at Pine Manor) called me up to tell me about this gem of a venue in Chestnut Hill, so of course I had to go check it out. This venue is perfect for a wedding of around 100 people or smaller and couples are lucky because every single vendor and employee I met was so friendly and great at what they do. Here are a few images from the night.

Halls of Tara Florist did such a great job, and Mary, the owner, has SUCH a cool accent (she's from Ireland)

I know that most of you have heard of Aramark, but I have never seen or eating food this good:

Here is an ALBUM I made of the affair!

    Thanx for looking!
